We grew up believing a strange idea:

That our voice is something we have to protect.

Guard.
Prove.
Perform.

On LinkedIn, this illusion becomes louder.
You’re told to “sound authentic,” “craft your personal brand,” “find your message.”
But beneath all that instruction, a quieter belief hides:

Your voice is yours alone, and if someone helps you shape it, it becomes less true.

So we strain.

We force thoughts into polished sentences and hope they land.
